Elina Basham is Of Counsel to Pike & Lustig, LLP and is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation practice. Elina’s practice involves litigating complex employment, tort and business cases and providing corporate counseling and labor and employment counseling to businesses in the area.
Prior to joining Pike & Lustig, LLP, Elina practiced law for one of the most prestigious law firms in Florida where she defended and counseled employers on labor & employment law issues, as well as represented one of the largest national insurers in the prosecution of insurance fraud cases against providers in Florida. Elina also has experience defending businesses in premises liability, business tort, construction defect and employment litigation cases throughout Florida.
Elina was born in the Soviet Union, immigrating to the United States when she was five years old and is fluent in Russian. Elina attended the University of Miami, where she received her A.B. in Political Science, graduating cum laude. She obtained her Juris Doctor from University of Florida, where she wrote for the Entertainment Law Review and served as a Teaching Assistant in Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Elina is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the Southern District of Florida. She currently resides in Wellington with her husband and two young daughters.
Elina is also involved in the Wellington community. Elina serves on the board of Kol Isha, Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and the Advisory Board for Boys & Girls Club of the Palm Beaches. She is also a member of the Florida Bar, Labor & Employment Law Section and the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section.
