Jason Scarberry

Jason Scarberry is Of Counsel to Pike and Lustig, LLP.

Mr. Scarberry has been an attorney for over 15 years. Mr. Scarberry handles business litigation matters and insurance litigation focusing on assisting homeowners in recovering insurance benefits owed to them. Jason has assisted Florida homeowners in recovering insurance money denied to them when those homeowners were entitled to those insurance benefits. Mr. Scarberry has also represented injury victims throughout his career, many of whom were denied insurance money.

Mr. Scarberry has defended law enforcement officers in civil rights claims based on violations of the First, Fourth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments, including claims of excessive force, improper searches and seizures, malicious prosecution and the deliberate indifference to serious medical needs. In addition to defending individuals, Mr. Scarberry defended municipal agencies against constitutional claims based on an agency’s customs, policies, practices or procedures.

Mr. Scarberry has worked for state-wide insurance defense firms where he handled claims involving slip and falls, automobile accidents, dog bites, wrongful death, bad faith, homeowner’s claims, first party insurance claims, products liability, negligent security, shopping center liability, rental car liability, and construction defects.

Mr. Scarberry’s has also handled claims involving construction defects, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Carmack Amendment, negligence of moving companies, breach of contract disputes, professional negligence, homeowner’s insurance claims, property damage, and insurance coverage disputes.
