Pike & Lustig, LLP Obtains $67.25 Million Jury Verdict in Martin County Case

Martin County, Florida — A Martin County jury returned a verdict of $67,250,000 in favor of a Pike & Lustig, LLP client in a personal injury case involving a spinal cord injury sustained at an off-road truck event in Okeechobee, Florida.

The case was handled by firm partners Robert Johnson, Daniel Lustig, and Michael Pike, along with assistance from paralegal Rosa Parsont and legal assistant, Benjamin Redler.

The claims arise from a February 2023 incident in which, according to evidence presented at trial, the client sustained a severe cervical spinal cord injury, including fractures to the C3 through C5 vertebrae. As a result of the injuries, the client had to have surgery and has experienced significant and permanent physical limitations.

Expert testimony from Dr. Craig Lichtblau helped establish the plaintiff’s long-term medical needs and associated costs.

This case involved complex litigation arising from catastrophic personal injuries. The verdict provides compensation, as determined by the jury, for past and future medical expenses and other damages resulting from the injury.
