The damages available are those which you sustain as a result of the accident. For instance, if you lost time from work, you’re entitled to receive compensation for the time that you lost from work. If you are not able to work anymore, then you’re entitled to compensation for your loss of earning capacity. You’re, also, entitled to your medical bills, past and future, and to pain and suffering. Pain and suffering will be what we refer to as non-economic damages.
