How are ambiguities in auto insurance policies resolved?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

Ambiguities in auto insurance policies are resolved against the insurance company. Therefore, if the insurance company is claiming that you are not covered for a loss, you have a right to challenge that decision in what’s called a declaratory action where the court will review the insurance policy. If there are any ambiguities, the ambiguities will be resolved in favor of the insured.
